Gladelle Eller

May 17, 1923 — March 15, 2020

During the morning hours of Sunday, March 15, 2020, Mrs. Gladelle McGee Eller, age 96 of Nebo, passed into the embrace of her Lord and Savior while at Deer Park Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Hartwell Georgia, she was born on May 17, 1923 to the late Norman McGee and Alma Pritchard McGee.

A faithful and dedicated member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Old Fort, Gladelle loved her Lord and attended until her health began to decline. She loved to travel with Christian Tours, and was a proud member of the American Legion. Gladelle was known as a hard worker who worked up until her mid eighty’s. She found a passion for cooking and loved to provide a good hardy meal for anyone who needed one. She loved her family and her church family and will be missed by all who had the chance to know her.

Gladelle is preceded in death by her late husband George Herbert Eller, who passed way in 1981; a son Steve Eller; a grandson, Bobby Eller; a brother, N.P. McGee and a sister, Leartis Bradley.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Mark Eller, her two grandchildren, Leslie Freeman and Chris Eller as well as six great grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate Gladelle’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Jack Bridges Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Flowers are accepted and appreciated, however for those wishing to make memorial donations in Gladelle’s honor can be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 744 Ebenezer Church Road, Old Fort, North Carolina 28762, and/or the American Legion, Donation Processing, P.O.
