Gerald Lee Gumbert

Gerald Lee Gumbert, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was born to the late Charles Aurthur and Nellie Mae Holsopple Gumbert, in Washington County, Pennsylvania.

Gerald was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He served in Viet Nam and also in the Special Forces. He loved history and was a life long learner. Models, computers and joking around were favorite past times.

Along with his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Bill Gumbert.

Left to cherish Gerald’s memory are his wife, Roberta Annette Jordan Gumbert; one son, Terry Gumbert; one sister, Darlene Stranke; two brothers, Bob and Paul Gumbert; one grandson, Christopher and one great grandson Vincent.

The family will hold a memorial service, on their own, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. It will be held in the Community Room, at Blue Ridge Terrace Apartments, 116 Carson Street, Marion, NC 28752, at 12:00 noon, with a dinner to follow.
