George Scott Seibert, Jr.

George Scott “Scotty” Seibert, Jr., age 64, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away during the early morning hours of Saturday, August 29, 2020 at his residence.

Born on June 11, 1956 in South Lake Tahoe, California, he was born to the late George Scott Seibert, Sr. and Etta Mae Garrett Seibert.

Having lived in several places across the United States, Mr. Seibert moved to Marion 15 years ago. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, and he even worked as a guide years ago. He also built houses and worked as a cabinetmaker and a professional boxer.

Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia Seibert; ten children; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by two stepchildren, Sarah Holland and Ross Beebe; and his fishing buddies, James “Wuzzle” Heller, Toby Brown, and Gary “Goose” Inman.

A private celebration of Mr. Seibert’s life will be held at a later date.
