Gentry Mills

Gentry Clifton Mills, age 52, of Marion, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the SECU Hospice House in Forest City.  Born in Jackson County, North Carolina on January 21, 1964, he was the son of James and Christine Mills of Marion.  Gentry enjoyed watching NASCAR every chance he could get, and loved raising goats in his spare time. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Chris Mills and Joseph Mills, both of Marion; three brothers, Jimmy Mills, Ronnie Mills and David Mills, all of Marion; one sister, Patricia Johnson of Marion; and four grandchildren, Savannah Mills, Serenity Mills, Joseph Gentry Mills, Jr. and Jada Mills. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Brother Dwayne Ray officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
