Gene Cable

Gene Cable, age 79, went home to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born in Swain County, North Carolina, on August 30, 1941, to the late Clinton and Loretta Hyde Cable.

 Gene was a member of Living Waters Tabernacle in Old Fort, North Carolina. He loved his church, work, fishing, his dogs & his family and friends; but most of all, he loved his God. He never met a stranger and would help anyone that needed it. He was loved by everyone. Gene was a father figure to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

 In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Cable.

 Left to cherish his memories are; his loving wife, Amy Cable; four children, Scott Cable, Jennifer Caudill, Joel Cable and Eric Hutchins; one sister, Wilma Lewis (Jonathan); one grandchild, Sydney Lytle; a cousin, Neal Carver(Wilma) and several nieces and nephews.

 A funeral service will be held, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Living Waters Tabernacle in Old Fort, North Carolina at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Keith Jamison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Living Water Tabernacle, from 10:00 to 11:00.
