Gary Layne Kesecker

On Monday morning, March 10, 2025, Gary Layne Kesecker, age 73, of Marion, passed away at Autumn Care of Marion.

He was born in Hampshire County, West Virginia on October 9, 1951 to the late Gilbert Henry Kesecker and Rosella Gertrude Montgomery Kesecker.

Gary spent his career in the furniture industry where he mainly worked in maintenance. He began at Broyhill and later worked at Ethan Allen. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He had a variety of hobbies and interests that included NASCAR, riding his Harley Davidson, watching old westerns, and cruising on the golf cart with his fur babies. His presence will be deeply missed in the lives of all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Kesecker, Terry Kesecker, and Roger Kesecker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Margaret Weller Kesecker; four daughters, Michelle Kesecker (James Alley), Kathy Kesecker Waycaster, Crystal Kesecker Honeycutt (Patrick Honeycutt), and Patricia Kesecker; two sisters, Nina Kesecker and Wilma Smith; and two brothers, Gilbert “Buck” Kesecker and John Kesecker, all of Maryland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher Stockton, Jr., Katie McDaniel, Courtney McDaniel, Gage Honeycutt, Tristan Packett, Mackenzie Ingle, and Kayleigh Alley; four great-grandchildren, Noah Stockton, Jonah Stockton, Thea Brewer, and Walker Brewer; and his special furry friends, Dixie and Daisy.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
