Garion L. Parker

Garion L. Parker, age 26, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018.  Born in McDowell County on June 17, 1991, Garion was the son of Durand Parker and Piper Bullock Parker, both of Old Fort.

Garion, who was a die-hard Carolina Panthers fan, is survived by his parents, Durand and Andrea Parker and Piper Parker; two children, Marayla and Miracle Parker; one sister, Kelsey Parker; three step-brothers, Shawn Hughes, Tyler Ledford and Ryan Edmonds; maternal grandmother, Sally Bullock; paternal grandmother, Lorine Parker; and numerous family members and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Garion will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Keith Jamison officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
