Fred Edward Williams

Fred Edward Williams, age 80, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.  The son of the late Grover and Mary Williams, Fred was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on January 8, 1938. 

An avid car trader who enjoyed traveling, Fred retired from Marion Manufacturing following several years of service.

Fred is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Williams and Dana Moore (Terry); two brothers, Jack Williams (Marie) and Frank Williams; companion, Tennie Grant; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Frady (Amber), Melissa Hoskins (James), Matthew Moore and Zachary Moore; and six great grandchildren, Hunter Hoskins, Adelyn Hoskins, Mason Hoskins, Emma Moore, Kaylee Frady and Kinsley Frady. 

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Williams will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Clinchfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Snapper Greene officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
