Frances Karene Morgan Bartlett

On Thursday, May 11, 2023, Frances Karene Morgan Bartlett, 81, of Lincolnton, NC went to be with the Lord following several months of declining health.

Karene was born in McDowell County on October 13, 1941 to the late Boyd Morgan and the late Florence Nelson Morgan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Leo Bartlett.

She attended New Manna Baptist Church for many years and was a graduate of Glenwood High School. Karene formally worked at Hubble and later retired as a CNA. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and drawing. Karene was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was loved a bushel and a peck. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving Karene include her children; Bill Bartlett (Kelly), David Bartlett, and John Bartlett; sisters, Lois Buchanan (Kermit) and Bonnie Smith (Jeff); three grandchildren; Matthew Bartlett, Jason Bartlett, and Evelyn Bartlett.

A funeral service will take place at Beam Funeral Service on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Cecil Spry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Bethel Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local Humane Society.
