Forrest Alonzo Kincaid, 62, of Marion, departed this life on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
A native of Marion, Forrest was born January 28, 1961. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Kincaid; and his brother, Terrance Arthur Kincaid, Sr.
Forrest was a longtime employee at Baxter Healthcare. He also worked as a painter, a trade he learned from his late father. An avid sports fan, he loved the Dallas Cowboys and the UNC Tarheels. He was an influential youth league coach for football, basketball, and baseball. In his spare time, he loved working on cars and fishing. Forrest had a great sense of humor and was often funny without trying to be. His special canine companion, Floyd, held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ann Rhom; mother, Maxine Logan Kincaid; three children, Turner Forrest Kincaid, Malcolm Jerdi Kincaid (Celeste), and Destiny Maxine Kincaid; two stepchildren, Dylan Ray (Mel) and Sister Ray; twelve grandchildren, Jaylen Hinton, Breeze Blankenship, Kellen Kincaid, Malic Kincaid, Garron Kincaid, Ashyr Kincaid, Kyla Kincaid, Amara Kincaid, Jayda Robinson, Jordhan Robinson, Samauria Allen, and Nashayla Allen; three sisters, Barbara Joe Kincaid, Felisa Kincaid Witherspoon, and Kim Kincaid Brown (Travis) and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mary Scott officiating. Burial will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
