Florence Ledford

     Florence Jean Harris Ledford, 73, of Marion, passed away peacefully and was received into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

     Florence was born in Erwin, Tennessee on March 6, 1950, to the late Charlie Lee Harris and Pansy Cooper Harris. She was married to the late Harold James Ledford. Florence was a devoted follower of Christ and a home healthcare giver. She enjoyed reading her Bible, being outdoors, and going on walks. Florence was an excellent cook and a wonderful mother, sister, friend, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin Michelle Tipton; three sisters, Wilma Harris, Rosemary Harris, and Birdy Smith; and two brothers, Ted Harris and Willard Harris.

     Those left to cherish her memory include seven children, Keith Harris, Connie Mallon (Dennis), Karen Ledford, Anthony Ledford, Gary Ledford and fiancé Kim, Andy Ledford (Misty), and Adam Ledford; eleven brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren.

     A funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Allen McKinney will officiate. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
