Faye B. Silver

Faye B. Silver, age 87, of Old Fort, NC passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Oak Hill Living Center in Angier, NC.

Mrs. Silver was born February 3, 1930 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Jesse and Cleata Baker.  She was a founding member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.  She was a loving wife and mother and was known to have a witty sense of humor.  Mrs. Silver was a wonderful homemaker and loved the Old Fort community.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by five siblings, Virginia Burgin, Angie Knupp, J.T. Baker, Jr., Glenn Baker and Ray Baker.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her beloved husband, Edgar Lee Silver; her son, Lynn Silver and wife, Marcia; one sister, Mary Ruth Autry; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church.  A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Ernest Harris and Rev. Gale Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
