On the morning of Tuesday, April 19, 2022, Fairah Suttles Hollifield passed away at Memorial Mission. A native of McDowell County, Fairah was born on September 4, 1945 to the late James and Sally Wilson Suttles.
She is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Brian Hollifield.
Fairah was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Baxter’s following thirty years of service. She enjoyed traveling, but mostly loved being around family, friends and her church family.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Tommy F. Hollifield; one son, Jeff Mills (Kim); one brother, James E. Suttles; one sister, Mary Ann Gardin; one grandson, Donald Guffey and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Beam Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at McDowell Memorial Park.
