Everette "Lee" Laws

Everette “Lee” Laws, 80, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Lee was born in Mitchell County on September 30, 1942 to the late Fred Cleveland Laws and the late Priscilla Stevens Laws.

Known as a hardworking man, he had worked building houses since he was the age of sixteen. He enjoyed being outdoors. Fishing, gardening and working in his yard were some of his favorite things to do. He was also known for his great sense of humor. Lee loved the Lord and also loved to help others. He will be greatly missed.

Preceding Lee in death including his parents are a sister, Patricia Yelton and a brother, Dean Laws.

His siblings, Dennis Laws (Loresa), Carolyn Loftis, Brenda Laws, Ann Cable, and Donald Laws (Daisy) are left to cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held at Beam Funeral Service on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Bruce Ward and the Rev. Richard Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00. Burial will take place at Glenwood Cemetery.
