Eva Carmney

Miss Eva Carmney, age 92, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville following a brief illness. A native of Monroe County, Tennessee, born June 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Issac Carmney and Ottie Mae Best Carmney. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Carmney Buckner and Mary Lee Carmney; one brother, Reece Washington Carmney and his wife, Agnes Biddix Carmney; two nephews, Gene Carmney and Gary Buckner. 

A loving aunt and friend, Miss Eva enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her cats. 

She is survived by two nieces, Glenda C. Ward and her husband, David and Linda K. Queen and her husband, Boyd; and Carol Carmney, wife of the late Gene Carmney. 

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Charles Dicks and Minister Joseph Ward officiating. 

A private interment will be held at Snow Hill Cemetery.
