Eual Owens

Eual Clark Owens, 82, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of McDowell County, he was born January 06, 1939 to the late Orvill and Addie Davis Owens. Having retired from Rockwell, Eual worked as a welder for most of his life. Music was his life, and he was well known in the community for his musical talents. He was also a very talented artist. A great husband, father, and grandfather, Eual was loved by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Owens; and a step-son, Brandon Lowe. Survivors include his wife, Day Owens; two children, Ray Owens (Christy) and Scott Owens (Michelle); step-daughter, Chantal Campbell (Charles); and step-son, Ryan; six grandchildren, Shaina, Kaleb, Kinsey, Bethany, Cameron, and Aden "Mikey"; three step grandchildren, Alex, Courtney, and Chase; and three great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion. A celebration of Eual's life will be held at a later date.
