Ethan Nathaniel Pittman

Ethan Nathaniel Pittman, age 20, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

He was born in Buncombe County on January 27, 2001.

Ethan, who was raised by his mother, grew up in Old Fort. The two of them spent all their time together through his childhood and were each other’s world, along with his sister Ashley. Ethan was lovingly known as “Possum Pittman,” and he loved spending time outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed serving the community through his career with Pittman Plumbing. His family, friends, and his boss, Jesse Pittman, all had special places in his heart. Ethan was an avid collector of Nissan trucks.

Ethan was a 2019 graduate of McDowell High School. Early on, he attended Trinity Church of God, but he later attended Lackey Town Missionary Baptist Church where he was saved.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Pittman, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Tina Pittman Sigmon (Randall); his sister, Ashley Stafford Penland (Steven); two nephews, Kayden Stroud and Christian Bartlett; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Davis Pittman; an uncle, Charles Pittman (Beth); an aunt, Trina Warren; his cousins, Hunter and Addison Pittman and Leandra Parker; and a good friend, Fred Robinson.

A private interment will take place at Bethlehem Community Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
