Erik Olvera

Erik Olvera, age 20, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his residence.  The son of Pam Bost of Old Fort, he was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on December 27, 1999.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Lindley. 

An amazing son, father, brother and friend, Erik was a caring person and was concerned with the needs of others than his own.  Having had a big heart and who loved to joke, he enjoyed being outdoors. 

Erik is survived by, in addition to his mother, his stepfather, Jeff Bost; one son, Sabastian O’Conner; one sister, Marissa Bell; two brothers, Zachary Acheson (Mindy) and Marcus Mitchell; maternal grandmother, Rosetta Wilson and her husband, Danny; one aunt, Robin Ruggaber and her husband, Ken; one uncle, Christopher Lindley and his wife, Stephanie; numerous cousins; and several special friends.

A private celebration of Erik’s life will be held.
