Eric Todd Owenby

Eric “Todd” Owenby, age 56, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Memorial Campus in Asheville, North Carolina. A native of McDowell County, Todd was born on August 15, 1961 to Cecil Max Owenby and the late Margaret Godfrey Owenby.

Todd was an avid sports fan especially North Carolina State Wolfpack, Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Reds. He liked going to music concerts and enjoyed living in the mountains. He was a loving son, father and brother and will be truly missed.

Along with his father Cecil, Todd leaves behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Erica Owenby of Bakersville; one sister, Cecilia O. Stewart (William) of Nebo, two brothers, Jeff Owenby of Nebo and Josh Owenby of Marion.  Also, one nephew, Townsend Stewart, of Nebo.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Reverend George Williams officiating.  An entombment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
