Eric Reid Martin

Eric Reid Martin, age 71, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Memorial Campus in Asheville. He was born in Surry County, North Carolina on November 7, 1945 to the late Lula Barker Martin.

Eric enjoyed playing cards. But most of all he loved his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He leaves behind three children, Eric Brian Martin (Natosha), Linda Anderson and Larry Anderson; six grandchildren, David, Larry, Barry, Ashleigh, Tyler and Heather. Also surviving Eric are four great-grandchildren, Kayley, Addison, Athen and Kaylee Jade.

A memorial service to honor Eric’s life will take place on Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
