Elizabeth Lorraine Taylor Coffey Saylor

Elizabeth Lorraine Taylor Coffey Saylor, 73, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Monday, August 01, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.

She was born in Caldwell County on September 12, 1948 to the late Woodrow Wilson Taylor and Etta Sumpter Taylor. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Saylor.

Elizabeth was a member of Yancey Street Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She especially loved her canine companion, Bo.

She is survived by three children, Brenda Thomason (Scott Cloninger), Susan Bristol (William), and Chet Saylor (Angie); stepdaughter, Marie Clawson; three grandchildren, Erica Poteat (Matt), Victoria Edwards, and Corey Bristol; three step grandchildren, Tyler Clawson, Jacob Saylor, and Tiffany Clawson; and two sisters, Elaine Lail and Betty Saylor.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 03, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
