Elizabeth Lakie Laxton

Elizabeth Lakie Laxton, age 60, of Nebo, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  Born in Mercer County, WV on December 21, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Junior Laxton and Mildred Lee Dillion Laxton.

Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  She was known to make an impression on everyone she met.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Bailey Riddle (Robert), Brenda Bailey Combs; two sisters, Teresa Ball (Rocky), Sharon Laxton; four brothers, Curtis Laxton (Rosie), James Laxton, William Laxton, Larry Laxton; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, May 19, 2017 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. prior to the funeral hour.
