Edna Bridges Davis, age 82, of Marion, North Carolina, went to be with her Savior on Friday April 8, 2016 at Autumn Care of Marion. A daughter of the late Talmadge and Elizabeth Couch Bridges, she was born May 27, 1933 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Edna, who enjoyed listening to gospel music, was a member of Cornerstone Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Cecil Davis; one daughter, Jo Ann Stroud; one son, Carl Douglas Moore; one sister, Jeanette Bridges Barnett and two brothers, Joseph Bridges and James Bridges.
Left to cherish her memory, one grandson, Douglas Moore; one brother, Bryson Bridges and his wife, Inge; two sisters, Peggy Christian and Josephine Tillman. A number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and close friend, Shaneah McCauley also survive.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God with Rev. Billy Stockton officiating. Interment will follow at West Court Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
