Edith Reel Mostiller

Ms. Edith Laura Reel Mostiller, age 92 of Marion, went home to be with the Lord during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 02, 2019. A Native of McDowell County, she was born on July 24, 1927 to the late, Edgar and Lizzie Morgan Reel.

Edith was a faithful member of Nealsville Church of God, and was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Most of all she was a devout Christian and loved God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Allen Mostiller, who passed away in 1991, as well as three siblings, Arnold, Patsy and Margie.

Edith leaves behind three children, Marvin Eugene Mostiller (Denise) of Morganton, Nina Mostiller Griffith (James) of Marion, and Nolan Vann Mostiller (Teresa) of Marion. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Chris Mostiller (Kim), Matthew Mostiller, and Jennifer Leonard; one great grandchild, Kendall Mostiller; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Ms. Edith’s life will be held on Friday, October 04, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Doug Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Allen.
