Dwight Donald Hollifield

Mr. Dwight Donald Hollifield, age 55, of Marion, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at The McDowell Hospital.  A native of McDowell County, Dwight was born July 20, 1960 to the late Earl D. Hollifield and Shelby Owensby Hollifield. Dwight, who loved to fish and hunt when he was able, enjoyed operating his C.B. radio and was known as the “Well Digger”. 

He is survived by his mother, Shelby Owensby Hollifield; one daughter, Dara Ingram and her husband, Nathan; one sister, Debbie Hollifield; his loving grandson, Kellan Ingram and numerous family and friends also survive. 

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hollifield will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Hankins Baptist Church with Rev. David Edwards officiating.  Interment will follow at Barnes Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
