Duane Allen Green

Mr. Duane Allen Green, age 58, of Candler, finally won his battle when he went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2017 while at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.  Born in Germany on December 03, 1958, he was the son of the late Donald W. Green and Katherine Tolley Green. 

Duane is also preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Evans Green, who was the love of his life; and one daughter, Brandy Sprouse.

A loving father and grandfather, Duane enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time.  He was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church in Candler.

Mr. Green is survived by one daughter, Crystal Sweatt (Jeff); one sister, Karen Field (John); one brother, Don Green (Deborah); and his four precious grandchildren, Gracie and Danny Sweatt and Daellen and Cyleigh Sprouse.

A celebration of Duane’s life will be held on Saturday, July 08, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Pole Creek Baptist Church in Candler with Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
