Dottie Norris Wills, age 80, of Marion, North Carolina went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 1, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. A native of McDowell County, Dottie was born on April 28, 1938 to the late Harold Norris and Bessie Hudgins Norris.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Wills; four sisters, Hattie Norris, Mable McFarland, Myrtle Quinn and Lydia Hughes; and one brother, Junior Norris.
Dottie was a longtime member of Marion First Free Will Baptist Church. She was known for her friendly ways of kindness, laughter and her love for everyone, especially her Lord and Savior.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are three sons, Wayne Wills (Darlene), Chuck Wills (Cindy) and Joey Wills (Judy); six grandchildren, Chris (Sarah), Hope (Michael), Chad (Caitlin), Derik (Liz), Ronnie (Storm) and Toni (Martinez); numerous great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Lora Suttles, Bea Whistnant and Marie Jones.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Marion First Free Will Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Brian Bird and Rev. Justin Deaton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Chris Wills, Chad Wills, Derik Wills, Ronnie Wills, Bobby Hughes and Michael Hudgins.
