Dorothy Lee McPeters Morgan

Dorothy Lee McPeters Morgan, 76, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Watauga Medical Center.

She was born in Yancey County on July 28, 1945 to the late Ollis McPeters and Arvena Hensley McPeters.

Dorothy was a great woman of faith and a member of West Marion Baptist Church. She loved working with flowers and gardening. She had a passion for watching and feeding birds. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Morgan and Rodney Morgan; and her sister, Oleta Ray.

She is survived by her husband, Harley Lee Morgan; her daughter, Tonya McIntosh (Eric); and three grandchildren, Aurora Morgan, Joshua Morgan, and Hannah Morgan.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 01, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
