Doris Marie Biddix

Doris “Rosie” Canipe Biddix, 81, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

She was born in Mitchell County on October 26, 1939 to the late Burns and Verdie Patrick Canipe.

Rosie loved the Lord, and she was a faithful member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School. She retired from Drexel Heritage. Rosie loved tending to her flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. She loved her family, and she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rosie is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Biddix.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are four children, Janet Rodwell (Stuart), Vicki Davis, Pam Stines (Rev. Gerald), and Becky Higgins (Jason); twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and three siblings, Connie Bunch, Ernest Canipe (Jeri), and B.M. Canipe.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion.  Mrs. Biddix will lie in state on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.
