Donna Lou Dover Wilson, 79, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Monday, December 06, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A native of McDowell County, she was born January 24, 1942 to the late Harry T. Dover and Catherine Williams Dover. She is also preceded in death by a brother, William Edgar Dover.
Donna Lou was a member of Siloam Presbyterian Church. She was a very honest and truthful person who put everyone else before herself. It can be said of her that she would give you the world on a platinum platter. She was the rock and strength of her family, including her extended family. Donna Lou was very driven and never took no for an answer. She will be remembered as being enthusiastic and passionate to all she came in contact with. She also had a lifelong love for all animals.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Walter Wilson; her daughter, Jacquelyn Dover Wilson; five siblings, Jay Dover (Melissa), Rose Marie Mease, Rita Lee McMahan (Bill), Annie Laura Byrum, Molly Catherine Hollifield (Larry); and a sister-in-law, Kathy Dover.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Siloam Presbyterian Church with Revs. Barbara Ross and Ed Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Siloam Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
