Donna "Nana" White

Donna “Nana” Alsbrooks White, age 64, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away the morning of Friday, May 07, 2021 at Mission Hospital- McDowell.

Nana was born in Manning, South Carolina on March 01, 1957 to the late Clyde and Teresia Richburg Alsbrooks.

Nana was a member of Turkey Cove Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. She truly loved everyone, and they loved her back. Known as Nana to all, she had a special place in her heart for children, whether they were part of her family or not. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, visiting the lake and the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Nana was a humble woman who never met a stranger and was always smiling. Nana was a happy, fun-loving person that was a joy to be around in life. She had a passion for children and God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda England and Judy Happney.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are her two children, Danny Wesley White II (Angel) and Sheree Mace (Chris); three siblings, Alton Martin, Glenda Hand, and Randall Alsbrooks; and grandchildren, Ryan Wall, Andie White, Tyler Mace, Maddie Mace, Emma White, and the numerous other children who looked at Nana as their own.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Reverend David Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the Mace Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Harris, Curtis Mace, Logan Fore, Jesse Hicks, Brandon Edwards, and Jeffery Wheeler.

Due to Nana’s love for flowers, flowers are accepted and appreciated.
