Donna Jean Manis

Donna Jean Manis, age 75, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills SECU Inpatient Unit in Forest City, North Carolina.  Donna was born in Dade City, Florida on December 19, 1945.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch Manis, Sr.; one son, Enoch Manis, Jr.; one grandson, Thomas Ledford; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Manis.

Following many years, Donna retired from McDowell Nursing Center where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She was a huge Carolina Tar Heels fan and enjoyed watching wrestling.  Donna attended Redeemed Free Will Baptist Church in Marion. 

She is survived by three sons, Terry Manis, Robert Manis (Deborah Harris) and Darryl Manis; one daughter, Deborah Manis; seven grandchildren, who mean the world to her, Angel Ledford, Tiffany Ledford, Ashley Manis, Bubba Manis, Victoria Manis, Mary Manis and Victor Manis; three great grandchildren, Grace Filor, PJ Filor and Haylee Filor; and last but not least, her canine companion and sidekick, Chloe.

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, no services are planned.
