Donna Ann Hollifield

Donna Ann Slagle Hollifield, 58, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Monday, February 08, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.

She was born February 03, 1963 in Buncombe County to Lattie Raymond Slagle and the late Mittie McInturff Slagle.

Donna worked in the restaurant industry in management, and she attended Old Fort Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wayne Hollifield; and two sons, Gary “Pete” Hollifield, Jr. and David Joseph Hollifield.

Survivors include her father and his wife, Rev. Lattie and Judy Slagle; four grandchildren, Jacob Hollifield, Angel Hollifield, Olivia Hollifield, and David Hollifield, Jr.; and three siblings, Debbie Smith (Ronnie), Bill Slagle (Janice), and Michael Slagle.

A private graveside service will be held at Turkey Cove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Heath Ogle officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
