Donna Brown

Donna Wilson Brown, age 70, was called to her heavenly home after a three-year battle with cancer on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice. A native of McDowell County, Donna was born on January 27, 1949 to the late Elbert and Rachel McCormick Wilson.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Brown and her son, Bobby Joe Brown, Jr.

Donna was of the Christian faith and was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to garden, but she loved her family most of all.

Left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Kim Sherrill (Alan) and Jennifer Brown and one sister, Kaye Adams (Jim). Also surviving Donna are two grandchildren, Victoria and Catherine Sherrill; one niece and two nephews.

The family will have a gathering of friends on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery with Pastor Bob Copeland.
