Donald Wickline

Donald Lee Wickline, age 74, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born in Raleigh County, West Virginia on April 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Everette Wickline and Letiha Foley Wickline.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Donald was a faithful member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church.  He also enjoyed fishing and repairing small engines in his spare time.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Verna Meadows Wickline; two children Valarie “Janie” Lowry (Butch), Valerie “Joy” Coffman; three brothers, Larry Wickline, Buck Wickline, and Bill Wickline; two sisters Patty Smith and Dreama Milian.  Also surviving are two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held Friday, December 09, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Sailors officiating.  Interment will follow at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the church.
