Dina Lou Allison Brown

Dina Lou Allison Brown, 81, of Marion, passed away at McDowell Hospital on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Dina was born to the late Mildred Waldrop on September 25, 1941 in McDowell County. She was lovingly known as Granny. Granny worked at Camp Grier where she enjoyed the kids and counselors. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and mostly spending time with her family and friends. She made life enjoyable by telling jokes and stories. Granny will be missed by all that knew her.

Including her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Luther Brown and her son, Charles Randall Brown.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Deborah Brown Loftis and Melody Ann Brown Cline; two sisters, Barbara Walker and Jeanette Hensley; two brothers, David Hensley(Millie) and Larry Hensley; three grandchildren, Chris Cline (Chrystal), Kristy Cline and Levi Loftis (Emily); seven great grandchildren, Maddie Loftis, Marissa Loftis, Joshua Cline, MaKayla Cline, Andrew Cline, Avery Cline and Ettalee Cline along with a special friend, Dustin.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00.
