Dicky McNeill

Dicky McNeill, age 74, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.

He was born on March 15, 1948 to the late Howard McNeill, Jr. and Lucille Huskins McNeill Franklin.

For many years, Dicky worked as a diesel mechanic and a truck driver. He was a hard worker whether it was on the job or around the house. He enjoyed helping others and was a veteran of the United States Army. His favorite spot was Lake James where he liked to fish. He was formerly a longtime member of the Marion Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Presnell McNeill; four children, Brandy Robbins (Josh), Brandon McNeill, Jeff McNeill, and Scott McNeill; four grandchildren, Bree Kelley, Wyatt Bowman, Lucas McNeill, and Josh McNeill; two siblings, Loretta Ruch (Denny) and Monte McNeill; and special friends, Rob Radford, David Ramsey, and Jim Ray.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
