Dianne McGinnis Godfrey

     Dianne Sue McGinnis Godfrey, 64, of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Dianne was born in Marion, NC on February 28, 1958 to the late Frank McGinnis and Dorothy Melton McGinnis. She was married to her husband of over twenty years, Laddie Godfrey, who preceded her in death. Dianne enjoyed coloring and watching televangelists. She was also an avid fan of Gospel music. She will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her husband and parents, Dianne was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and George McGinnis.

     She is survived by three brothers, Rex McGinnis (Jody), Ted McGinnis, and Ralph McGinnis, all of Old Fort; three sisters, Joyce Anderson (Harold) of Marion, Frances Taylor (Randy) of Old Fort, and Ruby McGinnis of Old Fort; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

     A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
