Diane Morgan Frye, 50, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, May 04, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Burke County on June 05, 1970 to Edward Eugene Morgan and Brenda Crawley Morgan.
Diane was a lifelong learner who spent her whole life educating others. Most recently, she was a teacher at McDowell Early College where she was affectionately known as, “Mama Frye.” She was a selfless woman who let others shine by promoting them before herself.
She had a beautiful soul and will be remembered as being kind, vibrant, and the center of the crowd. A true fighter, Diane had a strong faith that she leaned on during her health challenges. Diane was always giving and never expecting anything in return. She enjoyed traveling and trying new things. Above all, her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. In her own words, “Where Diane Frye had once existed, there was now someone who would forever be known as Mommy.”
She is preceded in death by a son, Jordan Frye.
Those left to cherish her precious memories in addition to her parents are her high school sweetheart and love of her life, James Arthur “Bo” Frye II; three children, James Arthur “Jamie” Frye III (Kendall), Caitlin Elizabeth Frye, and Jacob Michael Frye (Maggie); five grandchildren, Elijah and Rose Bragg and Norah, Levi, and Benjamin Frye; and four brothers, Steven Morgan (Lisa), Mark Morgan (Kim), Michael Morgan (Myra), and David Morgan (Tammy).
