Detlef Manfred Hudson

Detlef Manfred Hudson, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, September 02, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, North Carolina. A former resident of Gaston County, North Carolina, he was born on September 23, 1961. He was the son of Christel Mellon and was preceded in death by father, Charles F. Hudson.

He enjoyed working in his yard and tending his garden. Detlef also enjoyed travelling, spending time with family, and visiting Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gastonia.

Detlef is survived by son, Tyler; longtime love and best friend, Kim Carter; their canine companions, "Annie" and "Brady"; mother, Christel Mellon; sisters, Joan Coffey and husband Greg, and Barbara Irvin; nieces, Amie Coffey, Christy Pardue, and Olivia Irvin; nephew, Alex Coffey; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

No memorial service will be held.
