Dennis Ward

Dennis Ward, age 66, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation in Nebo.  Dennis was born on March 8, 1950 in Mitchell County, North Carolina to the late Jeff and Daisy Mae Stevenson Ward. 

Known as a Godly man who had touched many lives, Dennis was employed as a product engineer for over 23 years with Janesville Acoustics in Old Fort.  He was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Yancey Street Baptist Church and formerly attended Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. 

He is survived by three sons, Chris Ward (Becky), Stephen Ward (Bridget) and Jordan Ward; and three granddaughters, Mackenzie, Molly and Emme Ward.  Dennis is also survived by two godchildren, Brittany and Josh Willis.

A service to celebrate the life of Dennis will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Owenby officiating.
