Delane Honeycutt

Delane Honeycutt, age 80, of Nebo passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 6, 2016.  Born on August 25, 1936 to the late Jeter and Cora Belle Honeycutt. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Honeycutt Frady and his wife of 50 years Colene Honeycutt.

Mr. Honeycutt was known for being a hardworking man who worked in construction for over 52 years.  Delane took great pride in his home, where he was either working inside or out in the yard. He was a loving and dedicated dad, grandad, brother and friend. And loved his dog Maggie. He was a true hero and one that will be missed.

Delane is survived by three children, Kathey Bradley (Larry), Donald Honeycutt (Ann) and Bobby Honeycutt (Stephanie); nine grandchildren, Jeannine, Jamie, Jeremiah, Dale, Travis, Kristy, Emily, Anthony and Brian and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving Mr. Honeycutt are two brothers Tom Honeycutt, Melvin Honeycutt, one sister Elizabeth Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Delane will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, with Reverends Ray Stockton and Doug McPeters officiating. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
