Debra Stamey

Debra Stamey, age 56, of Marion, NC, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at Mission Hospital’s Memorial Campus in Asheville.  A native of McDowell County, NC, born January 7 1960, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy Miller Bryant.  A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Debra was a true artist and enjoyed painting.

Debra is survived by one son, John Colen Stamey and his wife, Emily; one daughter, JoBeth Stamey; four brothers, Tommy, Brady, Ed and Ronnie Bryant; and four grandchildren, Gage, M.J., Aiden and Aubrey.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Yancey Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Owensby officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
