Debra Ann Lewis

     Debra Ann Arrowood Lewis died unexpectedly, Friday, September 1, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

     She was born November 23, 1955, the first child of the late John Junior and Shelby Cable Arrowood.

     She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Darryl Lewis; five sisters, Connie Burgin (Jim), Donna Glenn (Keith), Betty Truelove (Tim), Carolyn Johannessen (Robby), and Rachel Davenport (Ray); four nieces, Amanda, Jessica, Samantha, and Victoria; three nephews, Travis, Tyler, and Jarod; one great nephew, Greyson; and one great niece, Nora. She loved her family and was loved by them. She will be dearly missed.

     Debra never met an animal she didn’t love and want to feed. Throughout her life she took care of many animals. She leaves behind her dog, Barney; and her cat, Red.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a local humane society or animal rescue organization.

     A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
