Debra Tipton Ledford

Debra Tipton Ledford, 62, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Friday, October 08, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

She was born in Buncombe County on August 09, 1959 to the late Walt Tipton and Lucille Quinn Powell.

Debra loved everybody she came in contact with and always saw the good in every person and situation. The rock of her family, she was often their “go-to” through the good and bad. She was a wise lady who gave her family guidance on right and wrong, but she was never judgmental. She was simply the greatest.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Tipton; and a granddaughter, Haylee Dawn Ledford.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ledford; two sons, Scott Ledford (April Bailey) and Travis Ledford; eight grandchildren, Angel Smith, Danielle King, Lindsey King, Daniel Miller, Tessa Ledford, Journey Cassey, Jesse Ledford, and Daylin Tipton; three siblings, Patricia Smith, Billy Tipton, and Walter Tipton; and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
