Debra Virginia Lewis Cureton

Debra Virginia Lewis Cureton, 65, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of Marion, Debbie was born December 11, 1957 to the late John Frank Lewis and Virginia Irene Curtis Lewis.

Debbie worked for many years at Winn-Dixie in Marion as the manager of the deli and bakery. She met many people and made a lot of friends during her 16 years there. She was passionate about decorating cakes, and she was truly talented. Debbie enjoyed the beauty of the beach and listening to classic country music. She absolutely adored her grandchildren. Being active in their lives brought her the most joy.

She is survived by her son, Jermey Dysart (Martha); four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jerdiah, Ely, and Cheyenne; and four siblings, Ricky Lewis, Mickey Lewis (Angie), Gary Lewis, and Linda Robinson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory. No formal service will be held at this time.
