Debbie Haney Jones

Debbie Haney Jones, 68, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. Her children were by her side.

She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on January 31, 1954 to the late Sanford Haney and Ruth Whitlock Haney. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Haney.

Debbie volunteered at Glenwood Elementary School for many years. She was also very involved with Glenwood Baptist Church. She loved flowers and worked at P & R Produce in the garden center. She loved everybody, and she never met a stranger. Her family and God were always put first in her life.

She is survived by her former husband and friend, Jimmie Jones; five children, Caleb Jones (Davida), Josh Jones (Betsy), Rebekah Tilson (Michael), Jared Jones (Andrea), and Lydia Jones; fourteen grandchildren, Destiny Jones, Elaina Kaylor, Jada Kaylor, Gabriel Jones, Wylder Jones, Zoey Tilson, Elijah Tilson, Leonardo Tilson, Brennyn Spencer, Ty Spencer, Mason Jones, Landon Jones, Payton Jones, and Asher Huggins; and five siblings, Roger Haney (Kathy), Larry Haney, Joyce Tilsley (Jim), Juanita Everman, Pam Trautwein (Jack).

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
