Debbie Cantrell Green

Debbie Cantrell Green, age 58, of Marion, NC passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Deborah Sue was born December 20, 1959 in Fort Worth, TX to Janet Knight Powell of Morganton, NC and to the late Robert Irvin Cantrell. 

Along with being a wife and mother she was an owner/operator of Teresa and Debbies Barber Shop in Marion.  She has worked as a Master Barber in Texas, Florida and finally in North Carolina.  Debbie was an active member of The Moose Lodge where she was serving as their Senior Regent and volunteered selflessly.  Debbie loved the outdoors and had many hobbies including:  hiking, bowling, painting, camping, fishing, gardening and going to the beach.  She loved to talk and never met a stranger.  She was generous and above all she was kind.  She leaves behind so many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her father, Debbie is preceded in death by her only child, Nicholas Glenn Harr; sister, Carolyn Bean; and brother-in-law, Curtis Edwards.

Debbie is survived by her beloved husband, Terry Green of the home, her step children, Casey and Heather Green and four grandchildren all of New York; mother and step father, Janet and Ralph Powell; sisters, Teresa Farmer and husband, James, Robbie Edwards and Crystal Jones Cantrell; and brothers, Robert “Bobby” Cantrell, Jr. and wife, Patsy and Keith Cantrell and wife, Yvette.  She is also survived by 8 nieces, 6 nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, along with so many more who are considered family.  All will miss her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service.
