David "Ricco" Rhodes

David “Ricco” Rhodes, age 50, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his residence with his loved ones by his side. Ricco was born in Fort Myers, Florida on May 05, 1971. An avid coffee drinker, Ricco enjoyed watching The Golden Girls, Pittsburg Steelers playing, and listening to a variety of music.  Most of all, he loved spending quality time with his “grandbabies”. He is survived by two sons, Robert Boykin and his wife, Theresa and Benjamin Boykin, Sr. and his wife, Ashley; and seven grandchildren, RJ Boykin, Kayla Boykin, Daphne Boykin, AJ Boykin, Winnie Boykin, Bennie Boykin and DJ Boykin.  Ricco is also survived by special friends who were there during his journey, Arvin Hicks, Tina Boykin, Brenda Hicks, Greg Parker, Mandi Parker, Gail Wilson and Sherry and Tim Deel.  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
