David Lee Wheeler

Mr. David Lee Wheeler, age 69, of Marion, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

He was born in Burnsville, North Carolina on January 02, 1951 to the late Carl and  Ophia Silvers Wheeler.

David was an avid coon hunter. More importantly, he loved his Lord and his church. Listening to preaching was something he truly enjoyed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Kevin Wheeler; a brother, Paul Wheeler; and a sister, Thelma Ann Robertson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ann Price Wheeler; three children, Denise Williams, Donna Wilson and husband Brian, and Bethany Stevens and husband Randy; nine grandchildren, Cody Penland, Shelby Martin, Seth Wheeler, Isaiah Wheeler, Brandon Wilson and wife Lindsey, Austin Stevens, Makayla Stevens, Lylia Stevens, and Judan Stevens; two great grandchildren, Caden and Dakota Martin; and one brother, Bo Wheeler.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastors Daniel McMahan, Mark Hollifield and Austin Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Pinnacle Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Brian Wilson officiating.
